CIVIC HIGHLIGHTS

City Council: April 7 and 21
The council meets twice this month at City Hall. Work sessions begin at 4:00 PM, regular meetings at 7:00 PM. Agendas will be posted on the CivicClerk portal ahead of each meeting. The April 7 session falls during Spring Break. Planning Commission also meets April 14 and 28 for anyone tracking zoning or development decisions.

Eagle Mountain Academy: Final Class, April 15
The last session of the city's free civic leadership program meets April 15 at City Hall, 6:30-8:30 PM. The topic is "Our Unique Community." If you've been curious about how local government works, this is a great place to start. Graduates will be recognized at the April 21 City Council meeting. More info.

Help Eagle Mountain Know What's Working
The city has partnered with Utah State University to survey residents on community well-being. The results go directly to city leaders and help shape where Eagle Mountain focuses next. It takes about 5-15 minutes (depending on how detailed you want to get) and is a clear way to make your voice heard, anonymously. Take the survey.

Storytime at the Library (All Month)
Got a little one who needs to get out of the house? The library runs free Storytime sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays all month long. No school all week. The library stays open with programming throughout the break. Play n' Learn on Monday, April 6 (10:30 AM-Noon; ages 0-5). Teen Activity: Photo Collages on Tuesday, April 7 (5-7 PM). Free, low-key options if you need outings for the kids. See the calendar for more events.

Spring Community Clean-up: April 15-22
The city is placing dumpsters at Cory Wride Memorial Park for light household and yard waste, free of charge. E-waste dumpsters also available. On April 15, dumpsters are open 4-8 PM only. From April 16-22, hours expand to 8 AM-8 PM daily. More info.

NEW IN TOWN

Eagle Mountain is about to get its own gym. Anytime Fitness is opening on Eagle Mountain Blvd near Mountainland Supply, giving residents a 24/7 fitness option without driving to Saratoga Springs or Lehi. The owner has said the opening is just weeks away, but no official date has been announced. Follow their Facebook page for the grand opening announcement.

Granite Credit Union is building its first Utah County branch at the corner of N Ranches Pkwy and Cedar Fort Rd / SR‑73. Once it opens, it will be another option for residents who want to bank locally. Follow Granite CU on Facebook for updates.

LOCAL DISCOVERY: Jet Fuel Soda Shack

Cedar Valley High School has its own student-run soda shop, and it's open to everyone. Jet Fuel Soda Shack sits on the north side of the CVHS football stadium at 1389 Aviator Ave. Students run the shop to help cover their extracurricular fees, so every purchase supports CVHS students directly.

They offer 16+ sodas, 25+ mix-in flavors, and homemade cookies baked by students. Prices start at $1.65 for a 16 oz. Drive-thru available. They don’t accept cash. School year hours: Monday-Friday, 2:30-7:00 PM. See the menu and order online.

Lots going on this month. Know a neighbor who could use this? Forward it their way.

See you around,

— Colten
