Hey Eagle Mountain. Colten here. I live in City Center.
Shortly after moving here in 2023, I found it was hard to figure out what was going on. I knew I wasn't the only one. So in early 2026, I started researching what was happening in our city and telling my neighbors about it. That's how the Eagle Mountain Value started.
It's free, and it comes to your inbox every Monday and Thursday. I'm a resident, not the city.
My goal is to better connect you to the value that exists in our city. That's why I call each letter a Valueletter. Here's what's in a typical one.
Utility Box: The most important links and items you should know about, in one place. Road construction info, city resources, and so on.
At City Hall: What the City Council and Planning Commission are working on. They meet most weeks and make decisions that affect you directly or indirectly. I follow the meetings so you can stay informed and reach out to the city if you feel so inclined.
Local Spotlight: A local business run by an Eagle Mountain resident. Shopping local is one of the best ways to support our community.
Community Notes: Local news, recreation, volunteer opportunities, and things residents ask me to share.
Events: Every local event I can find. If something is happening in Eagle Mountain, I do my best to put it here.
That's pretty much it. I keep things simple, yet accurate and detailed enough for you to stay informed. Here’s an example of a Valueletter if you want to see one.
If you own a local business, you're welcome to sponsor the Valueletter. It supports me and helps my readers get to know you.
Email me at [email protected] if there's anything you want me to know or share with your neighbors.
See you around, Eagle Mountain.
