City Council — Tuesday, June 2 recap
The city council met Tuesday night with several items on the agenda worth following, including a public hearing on a proposed 110-home development along Pony Express Parkway and a vote on a retail development financing agreement tied to a future Smith's and Lowe's. I wasn't able to attend in person and the meeting recording wasn't available through the city's portal as of yesterday evening. I've reached out to the City Recorder's office and hope to have a full recap in Monday's issue, depending on whether I can get access to the recording.

LOCAL SPOTLIGHT — SPELLBOUND BOOKS
Liz Moore turned a passion for books into Eagle Mountain's only mobile bookstore. Spellbound Books is tucked inside a checkered 7×16 foot trailer at 3726 E. Campus Drive, right at the corner of SR-73 and Ranches Parkway. She carries new and used titles with a focus on romance, fantasy, and thriller, along with bookish merch, gifts, special orders, and birthday party shopping events. You can visit her at the trailer on weekdays from 11:30 AM–7 PM, or catch her at the Eagle Mountain Farmers Market every Saturday this month.
