CIVIC HIGHLIGHTS

Planning Commission Meeting — Tomorrow, April 14
The Planning Commission meets tomorrow at 5:30 PM at City Council Chambers. Here is what is on the agenda.
Brandon Park Rezone: The city is updating zoning designations on roughly 216 acres in the Brandon Park area to match the current zoning map. The update formalizes lot sizes ranging from 8,000 square feet to half-acre lots, which locks in the neighborhood's low-to-mid-density residential character going forward.
Drive-Through Code Change: A proposed amendment would allow drive-through lanes between buildings and streets again in commercial zones. If approved, future commercial development could lean more car-oriented than the pedestrian-friendly direction the city set last year.
Spring Run Plaza: A 27-acre commercial development is proposed at the northeast corner of Cory B. Wride Memorial Highway and Spring Run Parkway. Staff is recommending the item be tabled to April 28 so it can be reviewed alongside the development agreement.
All items include public hearings. Residents are welcome to attend and provide input.
Eagle Mountain Academy — Final Session
The final session of the Eagle Mountain Academy meets Wednesday, April 15 at 6:30 PM at City Hall. This month's topic is "Our Unique Community." If you've been curious about how city government works or want to hear directly from city leaders, this is the last chance to sit in before the class graduates on April 21.

CVHS: IT'S SPIRIT WEEK
Spirit Week is running all week at Cedar Valley High School through Friday, April 17. There is a lot happening on campus, so here is a quick rundown:
Community Information Night
Wednesday, April 15 is Community Information Night at CVHS. Parent-Teacher Conferences run from 3 to 7 PM. From 5 to 7 PM, the school is hosting a Community Resource Fair with booths from organizations like the Utah Parent Center, Family Haven, Elevate Utah, Take Care Utah, BYU Comprehensive Clinic, and college reps. Food trucks will also be there from 5 to 7 PM. If you have a student heading into 10th grade next year, registration information sessions are at 5 PM and 6 PM in the auditorium.

Drive-in Movie
The CVHS calendar shows a drive-in movie on Wednesday evening at 8 PM in the northwest parking lot. Details on whether this is open to the wider community or limited to students and their families are not confirmed, but it is on the school calendar if you want to check with the school directly.
Jet Fuel Soda Shack
If you are heading to campus for any of this week's events, stop by Jet Fuel. It is a student-run soda and cookie shop located at 1389 Aviator Ave, right next to the football field. The shop is open to the public Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 7:00 PM. They have 16+ soda options, 25+ mix-ins, and homemade cookies. There is also a drive-thru. Jet Fuel is tax-free, and students work there to help pay off their extracurricular fees. You can also follow them on Instagram.

Aviators Sports This Week
The Aviators have two varsity home games on the schedule this week. Boys Varsity Volleyball hosts Riverton on Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the Hangar. Boys Varsity Soccer hosts Herriman on Friday at 3:30 PM.
