Hey Eagle Mountain — happy Thursday! I've got Planning Commission updates, a few weekend ideas, and something I've been wanting to put together for a while: a directory of all the Eagle Mountain Facebook groups where neighbors connect, ask questions, and help each other out.

TL;DR - PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

Smith's Marketplace Development Moving Forward

The Planning Commission reviewed amendments to the Overland Master Development Agreement on Monday - the project we previewed in last week's newsletter. The proposal includes a Smith's Marketplace, another major big box retailer, and four smaller anchor stores north of Mid Valley Road and east of Pony Express Parkway. The city is considering tax incentives to help fund the infrastructure needed for the development.

Converting a Private Barn to a Community Meeting Hall

The Planning Commission discussed a proposal at 3375 E. Autumn Lane (Meadow Ranch neighborhood) to convert a large private recreational facility into a religious and cultural meeting hall. The property has a history of unauthorized use issues, and the owner is requesting a lot split to make the conversion official.

New Auto Repair Shop Opening

One Call Auto's site plan was approved for a new repair facility at 643 E. Split Rock Drive in Rush Creek. The ~4,400 sq. ft. building will include six repair bays.

Some of these you probably already know. Others might be new to you. My goal is simple: help you find the groups that provide the most value for you and your family.
